Story
Hi there!
I'm making a difference by raising funds for research into childhood brain cancer.
In May 2019, myself and nine other Adventurers will be walking from southern tip of Dirk Hartog Island to the northern tip (where there is a pewter plate declaring the whole country was discovered by the Dutch in 1616). We are carrying everything we need for this 120km trek except for water, which will be dropped off at various caches along the way.
This is my third adventure with the Pirate Ship Foundation (which was previously the Adventurers) however this is by far the most adventurous and the first one by myself, as my previous adventures were with my wife Kate scaling the Stirling Ranges in 2016 and then camping at cattle stations across the Murchison with the whole family in 2017.
The money raised by this adventure and others run by the Pirate Ship Foundation are used to help pay for salaries and new equipment for a world class research team at the Telethon Kids Institute specifically working on improving childhood brain tumour treatments and cures.
Please support my efforts by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to the Pirate Ship Foundation. Every dollar donated will go to charity as I will be covering all of my costs for the adventure personally.
Thanks so much for your support!

The Pirate Ship Foundation Ltd
The Pirate Ship Foundation is a bold and passionate community that funds vital research into childhood brain cancer through a range of initiatives, adventures, events and partnerships.
Childhood brain cancer kills more Australian children than any other disease.
The identification of improved treatment options for children with brain cancer is our primary objective, ultimately leading to a cure.
We believe it is important for our community to understand the impacts of a brain cancer diagnosis to a child and their family. Even in the best possible cases, treatments are so damaging to a developing brain that they leave shocking, irreversible and life long-side effects.
We know that together we can support research that will deliver better outcomes and make a significant difference to those children and their families.
Funds are invested directly into childhood brain cancer research programs, including to the Brain Tumour Research Program at Telethon Kids Institute in Perth.
